Terms Of Service

Welcome to Ultimate Gloss Vehicle Detailing. I pride myself on offering high quality services to my clients, along with outstanding customer service.

To ensure my clients are aware of proceedings in advance, I have detailed all the main terms of service below for your information. Please take the time to read through this document and discuss any queries with me.

Booking

Deposits - Before any booking can be accepted and confirmed, I require a 20% non refundable deposit unless otherwise stated. This deposit secures your booking and allows for the purchasing of any specialist products required for your vehicle, such as a ceramic coating. Deposits can be made by Cash, Bank Transfer or Debit/Credit card.

Cancellations – A minimum period of 48 hours notice is required for any appointment cancellations. If you advise me of your intended cancellation outside of the minimum 48 hours notice period, I will gladly carry over your deposit until your rearranged appointment date. If less than 48 hours notice is given you may lose your deposit if your booking cannot be back filled and you will be required to make another deposit before another booking can be made.

I fully understand situations arise whereby clients may need to cancel/rearrange appointments, however I have to stipulate the above requirements to ensure fairness to all.

Personal effects

I ask my clients to ensure all personal effects are removed from their vehicle prior to any treatment work commencing. I will take the upmost care of your vehicle and any items within, however I cannot be held responsible for any items that were not removed prior to the start of your chosen treatment.

Please note, any small items found during your treatment (such as keys, coins, pieces or paper) will be left in a prominent position for my client, such as a cup holder or oddments tray, any items believed to be rubbish will be disposed of

Moveable seats

Any vehicle treatments involving interior work will involve me needing to adjust your seats to ensure they are cleaned sufficiently. Please ensure you check seats are adjusted/secured sufficiently prior to driving your vehicle.

Child Seats

I please ask that any child seats are removed prior to any internal work being carried out on your vehicle. I am unable to remove any child seats as I cannot be held responsible for re-fitting of these seats. In addition, child seat fittings vary greatly to which I am not trained in the fitment of these, should you be unable to remove a child seat for any reason, I will continue the treatment around the seat/s in question.

Boot/Luggage/Cargo area

I please ask you ensure your boot/luggage/cargo area is left empty prior to any interior work being undertaken. Under the same reasoning as the personal effects section of this document, I cannot be held responsible for any items remaining within your vehicle, particularly as these may have been misplaced prior to my arrival.

Pre & Post Service Vehicle Inspection Form

Prior to any work commencing on your vehicle, I will complete a vehicle inspection form. This is a detailed inspection of your vehicle, focusing on any visible defects able to be seen with the cleanliness level of your vehicle at the time of inspection. This inspection will include any scratches, marks or damage to the exterior and interior of your vehicle that are visible, including a description of the agreed treatment works to be carried out and the associated agreed price.

This inspection form is to be signed by the client before any treatment is completed along with a return acceptance copy upon completion of the associated works.

Warranty & Durability Claims

Any claims of product lifespan / durability are quoted by the product manufacturer and not Ultimate Gloss Vehicle Detailing. In the event of a claimed product failure prior to the quoted lifespan I will carry out an investigation, this may include requiring to wash the vehicle and subsequently contact the product manufacturer to understand why the product has failed, should this be required

It is very rare for a product not to meet its expected lifespan, providing the vehicle is appropriately cared for post application. I personally test all products thoroughly prior to applying to any client vehicle, this ensures confidence in the products has been demonstrated

In the event the client has damaged and protective coating this will be deemed as customer error. I always offer clients advice on correct washing techniques, including factors, techniques and products to avoid. In addition I will always offer ongoing maintenance advice as required.

Air Fresheners

As required I will use an air freshener/sanitiser and/or fabric freshener within your vehicle, please advise me in advance if you prefer not to have either of these products applied, likewise if you have a preferred fragrance please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate this.

If available, I will also provide a courtesy hanging air freshener. I generally carry various fragrances with me and would be happy to provide your preferred fragrance, if available

Photographic images/Intellectual property images

Photographic images of your vehicle will be taken for evidential and social media purposes. I will always try to conceal the vehicle registration number and any exterior identifying factors (House numbers/addresses/road signs etc) in any published photos. If you would prefer your vehicle not to appear within my social media profiles and website please advise me of this prior to completion of your treatment

Branded Window Stickers

To support my on-going business activity, I would like to leave a small Ultimate Gloss branded window sticker (approx 70x20mm) in your windscreen and/or rear window. These stickers are quite discreet and would be left outside of the drivers view. I would really appreciate it if you would permit me to apply these to your vehicle, however if you would prefer not to have these on display these please let me know.

Weather

Severe rain or adverse weather could effect the application of any SI02 and/or ceramic based products. This is listed to protect my client as all SI02 and full ceramic products require a curing/bonding time where the vehicle must be kept dry after application to ensure the full bonding process is completed successfully, usually this is a 24 hour period. Alternative paintwork coatings and sealer options are available if required or preferred.

Electrical Power

Access to a powered electrical socket is required for the duration of my visit, to enable an extension lead to be plugged in. This does not need to be close to your vehicle as I carry an extension lead with an extra long cable at all times.
